About Artist
Kathy Carney started art lessons as a teenager at the Corcoran Museum of Art School. She continued her training in art and earned a BFA from the University of Arizona. Kathy later moved to San Francisco to work as a portrait painter.
Kathy’s focus shifted to landscape painting when she moved to Sonoma County. She also hosted a figure drawing group at her studio for many years. Kathy's drawings and paintings have been selected for numerous juried competitions throughout the west. Her work has been collected extensively throughout the United States.
She currently lives and works in Tucson with her husband Dave and dogs Riley and Lola.
